All are eligible for obtaining an associated architectural solutions exam. However, here are the five requirements of the AWS site review:
The first condition is: one or more years of practical, cost-effective, fault-tolerant design experience and scalable distributed systems on AWS
Amazon hopes that candidates must have one or more years of experience using AWS services. It is good to have, but you are not required to provide proof of your experience. Previous experience can help you reduce your preparation time, can not guarantee you to take the exam.
The second condition is: In-depth knowledge of at least one high-level language
All AWS services available or accessible through the AWS interface console or command line or an AWS SDK. If you plan to use the SDK, then you need to know languages such as Java, .NET or Ruby programming. As a solution architect, you do not necessarily need to use AWS SDK to learn or use these services. So from a review point of view, you need to know how and why different services are used.
The third condition is: Ability to identify and define requirements for AWS-based application
This is more about your ability to define the infrastructure needs or application based on AWS. It is as if you've never cooked it in your life, but you can cook in the future if you are provided with the right ingredients and utensils? The answer is yes, as long as you want to learn, so when you prepare for your exam, you will learn all the services available and where they are used, and why you need to use them.
